The event, held at the Burlington Marriott, raised over $285,000 to help fund vital health and wellness programs which benefit residents of the Greater Lowell community.
“Over the course of its nine year history, this event has represented a wonderful partnership between Lowell General Hospital, its dedicated medical staff, and members of the community,” said Norm Deschene, President and Chief Executive Officer of Circle Health. “As the Ball has grown, we are proud to have seen support and involvement extend well beyond the walls of Lowell General Hospital. With this growth, it was fitting to rename the event the Circle Health Ball for Community Health Initiatives this year to more accurately represent the vital role our Circle Health providers and affiliates play in making the Ball such a success.”
Three local non-profits were awarded Community Health Initiative Grants for 2014. They were:
A special fund a need auction was also held to benefit Habitat For Humanity of Greater Lowell to raise additional funds to help build affordable houses for families in need. One lucky attendee that supported this auction received a beautiful Circle of Life diamond necklace donated by Barmakian Jewelers.

“There are so many organizations that are doing terrific work and this year’s ball carried on the tradition of being an incredible night in support of just a few of them,” said Deschene. “The Ball committee, led by Dr. Kevin Malone and Dr. Rajaa Nahra, did an outstanding job in creating an event where everyone had a wonderful time while making a difference for those in need in the communities we serve.”
