COVID-19 Testing - Frequently Asked Questions

We have a new drive-thru testing site open 7 days a week at our Circle Health Urgent Care Tewksbury location at 1574 Main Street.

Due to an increased demand for testing we are not currently able to provide travel-related testing at this time. Please check back for updates.  

The PCR test, done by nasal swab. The PCR test detects viral RNA, which will be present in the body before antibodies form or symptoms of the disease are present. PCR tests can tell whether or not someone has the virus very early on.

Testing is done by appointment only. All patients needing testing are encouraged to go to our new drive-thru location at Circle Health Urgent Care in Tewksbury to avoid any possible wait inside any of our Urgent Care locations. Call 978-323-5945 to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to travel to our drive-thru location in Tewksbury, call our Urgent Care locations in BillericaDracut or Westford to check on testing availability.

Our COVID test results are typically back within 24-48 hours. Please be sure to let our team know that you need the results back within that specific window and we will work to assist you.

If your results come back positive, we will contact you as soon as we receive your results. Please do not call the Urgent Care office to check results prior to receiving our phone call due to the vast amount of testing needs at this time.

Please note: We do not contact you if your results are negative. Test results will be posted to your Patient Portal. You are encouraged to check the portal in 48-72 hours to view your test results.

Yes, we do provide testing for children. We do not test children under 3 months of age.

Contact your primary care physician to determine if testing is appropriate to obtain a physician order for the test.

No we do not offer antibody testing.

Yes, return to work clearance is a service provided to many area employers through our Occupational Medicine COVID-19 Services at Circle Health Urgent Care.
